Apr 14, 2014 Bass Info: 1983 Made in USA 2 Super Ferrite Pickups 2 volume 1 tone Maple neck with rosewood fretboard Swamp Ash Body http://assets.peavey.com/literature/man. Mar 23, 2010 The stock Super Ferrites aren't bad sounding pickups and would probably benefit greatly from onboard electronics. Put some effort into shielding the body and the noise will go down too. Another option would be to build your own pickups or see if Duncan would build some for you. In 1999, the Fury II bass was released, but it featured an entirely different body shape than its predecessor. In 2001, Peavey introduced a higher-end Fury bass with a quilted-maple top. Peavey offered Fury basses in 4-, 5-, and 6-string configurations, and you have the latter—the Fury 6.

This is a 1987 Peavey Dyna Bass Made in the USA with active pickups. The bass is in good shape overall. All the electronics work and the neck is straight. The 3-band EQ is very dynamic and there is also a volume knob on the back that is adjustable through the back plate.
This is overall a great Made in the USA Bass. There is a small mark on the back of the neck which is pictured. The bridge/neck pot split pole is collapsed but the knob still holds. The pot itself is a little scratchy and is hard to get to from the back to apply cleaner. The volume pot and all active pots roll clean. The two way switch is sturdy and has no noise when switching. The top two tuning pegs have tight spots when you turn them, but if you keep turning through them it gets smooth again. I've wound new strings so the tight parts are away from the working area. This bass comes with a Road Runner hard case in very good condition. It is only missing one plastic foot but still stands fine when placed on edge.
